upliftment of all individuals. The Nepali/Gurkhali community is known for their courage and
resilience, and our organization, Hamro Swabhiman Trust, is dedicated to awakening their dignity and
addressing their needs.
Founded under the auspices of Yogrishi His Holiness Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj, the 'Hamro
Swabhiman Trust' is a global organization led by the esteemed Ayurved Shiromani His
Holiness Acharya Balkrishna Ji Maharaj. Its noble mission and vision encompass the
preservation of traditions and principles of Intense Nationalism, Spiritualism, and
Idealism, with a focus on restoring the honor and dignity of the Nepali/Gurkhali
Community. The organization seeks to recognize and celebrate the longstanding
contributions made by this community to society while ensuring the holistic development
of the Nepali/Gurkhali Community through the promotion of values, education, and
healthcare.

Our Inspiration
Ayurved Shiromani Param Shraddhey Acharya Balkrishna Ji Maharaj
Acharya Balkrishna is a dynamic individual and the Founder Secretary of
Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust. He oversees the management of Patanjali units and
sub-units, providing meaningful directions for improved performance and
coordination with unit leaders. He possesses qualities that set him apart from
others, including patient listening, minimal talking, and dedicated work in the
interest of the general public. Acharya Balkrishna is known for his silent work
and composed demeanor.
Having received education in the traditional Guru-Shishya Prampara at the
Gurukul in Kalwa (Jind, Haryana) under the guidance of the late Acharya Shri
Baldevji, he has excelled. He is a visionary, highly disciplined, energetic,
diligent, simple, easy-going, and versatile personality with a range of skills,
constantly engaged in serving humanity from the depths of his
heart. Acharya Balkrishna is a renowned scholar of Ayurveda, Sanskrit, and
the Vedas. He is well-versed in Sāṅkhya Yoga, Ayurveda, Sanskrit language,
Pāṇini’s Aṣṭādhyāyī, Vedas, Upaniṣads, and the rich cultural philosophy of
India. He serves as a torchbearer of ancient lifestyles, traditions, and natural
healing methods. Through his efforts, Ayurvedic culture and traditions have
gained acceptance in modern times, making him a role model for the younger
generation.
In addition to his unparalleled initiatives in Biodiversity Conservation, he has
explored endangered plants such as 'Sanjeevani', 'Soma', 'Swarnakshiri',
'Swarnadraka', and 'Aṣṭavarga Plants'. His invaluable contributions in
characterizing medicinal plants, identifying indigenous medicines, and ensuring
authentication at national and international levels speak volumes about his
knowledge. Acharya Balkrishna is currently involved in various projects of
national and international importance, including the establishment of herbal
gardens and herbariums, the creation of the first-ever 'World Botanical
Dictionary', research on the 'Wealth of Food Crops', identification of rare
herbs with medicinal properties, and conducting vegetation surveys in India.
To strengthen the traditional medicine system worldwide, he is working on the
multi-volume 'World Herbal Encyclopedia', which describes 60,000 species of
medicinal plants and includes the world's largest collection of medical plant
paintings. Acharya Balkrishna is committed to reinventing new ways to address
health problems, bridging gaps in Ayurvedic knowledge, and strengthening the
health system through Ayurvedic sanhita. He plays a crucial role in creating and
improving preventive systems, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions through
the Indigenous Medicinal System, namely Yoga and Ayurveda, promoting holistic
natural healing that aligns with modern health standards.
He has published over 300 research articles in various national and
international journals, authored more than 200 books on Yoga, Ayurveda,
Agriculture, and Information Technology, and edited more than 40 unpublished
ancient Ayurveda manuscripts. One of his works, 'Aushadh Darshan', has sold over
10 million copies, and 'The Science of Ayurveda' has been published in 71
languages worldwide.
With his divine vision and tireless efforts for the well-being of all, he has
successfully cured over 1.5 million patients suffering from chronic and
non-communicable diseases in the past two decades. Currently, more than 1,500
traditional Ayurvedic doctors provide free primary healthcare services to over 7
million patients annually, while 1 million volunteers offer free yoga classes,
benefiting over 50 million individuals.
Yogrishi Param Pujya Swami Ji Maharaj
Yogrishi Param Pujya Swami Ji Maharaj, born to Smt. Gulab Devi and Shri Ram
Niwas in a small village in Haryana, is a globally recognized sage known for his
significant contributions to the revival and promotion of Yoga worldwide. At the
age of 14, he embarked on his Gurukul education at a renowned Gurukul located in
Kalwa village, Jind district, Haryana, India. There, he earned his Acharya
degree with a specialization in Sanskrit Vyakran, gaining extensive knowledge in
Yoga, Darsanas, Vedas, and Upanishads through the Gurukul-based education
system.
Inspired by the life of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, Param Pujya Swami Ji
Maharaj always had a clear goal of dedicating his life to serving humanity as an
ascetic. Together with Param Pujya Acharya Ji Maharaj, he chose to serve mankind
through their profound knowledge of Yoga and Ayurveda. After undergoing two
years of rigorous austerity in Gangotri, Himalayas, they began their journey
from Divya Yog Mandir Trust in Kankhal, Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Since his
auspicious proclamation on Ram Navmi in 1995, his holiness has never looked back
and has directly and indirectly influenced, transformed, and inspired the lives
of millions of people around the world.

Haritalika Teej
Haritalika Teejis a significant festival observed by married Nepali/Gurkhali
women worldwide. It is a celebration that beautifully showcases the rich culture
of Nepali/Gurkhali. Every year Hamro Swabhiman Trust organizes a grand
remarkable Haritalika Teej festival in the divine presence of Param Ayurved
Shiromani Acharya Balkrishna ji Maharaj and Yog Rishi Param Pujya Swami Ramdev
ji Maharaj at the international level.
Deusi Bhailo Compitition
The Deusi Bhailo Competition, initiated by Hamro Swabhiman Trust during the
Covid-19 lockdown, is an esteemed international online event dedicated to
celebrating and preserving the rich culture and traditions of Tihar, a
significant festival. This competition serves as a global platform for
individuals across different nations to showcase their talents and express their
artistic skills in various cultural performances. Participants from diverse
backgrounds unite virtually to exhibit their creativity and pay homage to the
vibrant traditions of Tihar. Through this event, Hamro Swabhiman Trust aims to
foster cultural exchange, promote inclusivity, and foster a sense of unity among
communities worldwide.
Bhanu Bhakt Jayanti
Bhanu Bhakt Jayanti, celebrated annually by Hamro Swabhiman Trust in the month
of July, is a tribute to the esteemed Bhanu Bhakt Ji. This special occasion
serves as a platform to promote the Nepali/Gurkhall language within the
community. As part of the festivities, the trust organizes events such as Poetry
Recitation competitions in Nepali language, encouraging and fostering a love for
the language among participants and the wider community.
Hamro Gaurav Award
Hamro Gaurav Award is an initiative by Hamro Swabhiman Trust to present
gratitude to people in our community who have exceled in their field, and are an
inspiration to everyone.
Blood Donation Camp
Regular Blood Donation camps are organized by Hamro Swabhiman Trust as a global
service initiative to address the critical need for blood supply. These camps
serve as a platform for individuals to voluntarily donate blood, contributing to
the noble cause of saving lives. By organizing these camps, the trust strives to
fulfill the urgent requirements of blood for patients in need, promoting health
and well-being on a global scale. The camps provide a convenient and safe
environment for people to participate in this selfless act, emphasizing the

International Conference
Hamro Swabhiman Trust takes an active role in organizing and hosting national
and international conferences aimed at showcasing the rich and illustrious
Nepali culture. These conferences serve as platforms to raise awareness about
revered Nepali saints, martyrs, leaders, and more, while also providing
opportunities to address various challenges faced by people in different aspects
of life. Additionally, the trust organizes skill training programs to equip

Hamro Swabhiman Trust organizes regular online and offline Health and Wellness
programs, including Yoga Camps and Ayurvedic consultancy camps, with the aim of

Help and Donation Camp
Hamro Swabhiman Trust is dedicated to serving humanity and making a positive
impact during challenging times. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our
volunteers have worked tirelessly to provide assistance to those in need. We
have organized help and donation camps to offer essential support, including the
distribution of food, medical aid, consultancy services, and other vital
resources to individuals and communities facing hardship. Our selfless efforts
aim to alleviate suffering and contribute to the well-being of those affected by
the pandemic, reflecting our commitment to helping people in need around the
world.
Scholarship
Hamro Swabhiman Trust is committed to promoting education and empowering
talented individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. We offer
scholarships to deserving students who demonstrate exceptional academic
abilities. Currently, we are providing UPSC scholarships in collaboration with
esteemed institutes to deserving Nepali/Gurkhall students. These scholarships
aim to support and nurture their talent, enabling them to pursue their dreams
and excel in their chosen fields. By investing in their education, we aim to
create opportunities for these students to make a positive impact in society and
